Future of Jobs: Reshaping Employment through Technological Advancements
According to a recent report by the World Economic Forum, the impact of various technologies on jobs is projected to have an overall positive effect in the next five years. The report highlights key drivers of job growth, including big data analytics, climate change and environmental management technologies, as well as encryption and cybersecurity. On the other hand, the study also indicates that labor-market disruption is expected in sectors such as agriculture technologies, digital platforms and apps, e-commerce and digital trade, and AI, potentially resulting in job displacement within certain organizations. However, the World Economic Forum emphasizes that despite these disruptions, the net outcome is anticipated to be positive, with job growth in other areas compensating for the losses. It is worth noting that, except for humanoid robots and non-humanoid robots, all other technologies are expected to be net job creators in the next five years.
